# Your AI agent can now watch Australian courts for you.

Tell your agent which companies matter. It connects to LitigationWatch with your approval, sets up the watchlist and alerts through our API, and you get an email the moment one of them is named in an Australian court or tribunal case.

## One instruction to your agent. Daily checks from then on.

Your agent does the setup and keeps the watchlist up to date. You approve it, pay once a month, and read the alerts.

Step 01

### Tell your agent

Give it the companies to watch and your email. It reads our guide and finds each company's exact legal name and ACN in our directory.

Step 02

### Approve its access

We email you a link with a short code. Check the code matches, see what the agent will be able to do, and approve. Remove its access any time.

Step 03

### Pay on Stripe

Your agent sends you a secure Stripe link for the plan it picked. You review and pay. Agents never pay or change what you're charged.

Step 04

### Get the alerts

Every day we check courts and tribunals for your companies. You get an email for every match; your agent gets them through the API or a webhook, filtered how it likes.

## Made to be used by agents, straight from the website.

No SDK, plug-in or MCP server. Everything is standard HTTPS and JSON, described in plain text an agent can read.

- [llms.txt](https://litigationwatch.dev/llms.txt) and an [OpenAPI schema](https://litigationwatch.dev/openapi.json); every page also as Markdown
- Standard OAuth device flow: the agent asks, you approve by email
- Company lookup by name or ACN across our directory of Australian companies
- Alerts by polling, or signed webhooks with filters by company, jurisdiction and confidence
- Errors that tell the agent what to do next

## Precise monitoring starts with the legal name.

Courts identify parties by their registered legal names, not by brands or trading names. That's why LitigationWatch asks for each company's full legal name, and optionally its ACN or ABN.

- Fewer false alerts about similarly named businesses
- Matches that hold up when you check the court record
- Coverage of your whole group when you add related entities

Trading name
Example Group
Abbreviation
EHPL
Full legal name
Example Holdings Pty Ltd
**Tip:** add related entities as separate entries, such as the holding company, subsidiaries and any trustee company, so litigation against them is monitored too.

## Frequently asked questions

Which AI agents can use LitigationWatch?

Any agent that can make web requests: general assistants with web access, coding agents, and agents you build yourself. There's nothing to install. The agent reads [/llms.txt](https://litigationwatch.dev/llms.txt) and uses our API over plain HTTPS. See the [agent guide](https://litigationwatch.dev/agents).

Is it safe to let an agent connect to my account?

You approve every agent, and you see exactly what it will be able to do before you do. It never gets your sign-in details, can't pay or change what you're charged, and you can remove its access at any time from the AI agents page. Everything it sets up, including where it sends alerts, is listed there too.

Do I need an AI agent?

No. You can sign in and manage your watchlist yourself in the browser. Agents are simply the fastest way to set up and maintain a large or changing watchlist.

Which courts and tribunals does LitigationWatch monitor?

Courts and tribunals across every Australian jurisdiction. That includes the High Court, Federal Court and Federal Circuit and Family Court; the Supreme, intermediate and local courts of each state and territory; specialist courts such as industrial, planning and environment, and land courts; and tribunals such as the Fair Work Commission, the Administrative Review Tribunal and each state's civil and administrative tribunal.

We can only see what courts and tribunals make publicly available. Suppressed, sealed and confidential matters aren't visible to anyone outside the court, including us.

How often do you check?

Every day. Our AI agents review court and tribunal activity daily for every company on your watchlist, and you get an email as soon as a match is found.

Why do you need the full legal name?

Courts record parties by their legal names, such as "Example Holdings Pty Ltd", not by brand or trading names. Giving us the exact registered name, and optionally the ACN or ABN, lets our agents match accurately and keeps false alerts to a minimum.

Should I add related companies?

Yes. Litigation is often brought against a holding company, a subsidiary or a trustee company rather than the brand you know. Add each related entity to your watchlist as its own entry so litigation involving them is monitored too. Each entity counts as one company on your plan.

What does an alert contain?

The company that was matched, the court or tribunal, the case number and title where available, the company's role in the case (for example, respondent or defendant), the event and its date, and a link to the official record where one exists. Every alert is also kept in your dashboard.

Is this legal advice?

No. LitigationWatch is a monitoring and alerting service. Always check the court record and seek legal advice before acting on an alert.

## Hand the watching to your agent.

One instruction, one approval, one payment. We'll take it from there.
